Activities
  • Analysis and research, implemented in the 4 countries constituting the partnership based on a participatory research methodology including the consultation with child victims of trafficking and experts. This is expected to reveal the main protection gaps and risks in the systems in place in the selected EU Member States through an integrated and compared analysis of child protection and child welfare, fight against  trafficking and exploitation, gender, migration, integration and welfare issues.
  • Empowerment and capacity building at national and transnational level with the potential to inform EU policies in this field; it will be achieved by performing, in each country involved in the project, 2 national training workshops for professionals likely to come into contact with particularly vulnerable categories of children - actual or potential victims of trafficking and exploitation, who will become trainers of their colleagues. The training models adopted for each national training will be further discussed in a transnational seminar for trainers to be held in Italy and will be developed and harmonized in an Online Training Toolkit.
  • Policy and strategy, which will involve the definition of comprehensive tools to practically mainstream measures against child trafficking and exploitation in child welfare and protection policies, including a set of relevant key indicators and guidelines both at EU and national level.
  • Dissemination and information, through the creation of an Online Training Toolkit, the organisation of a national seminar open to agencies, institutions and professionals in each country and the organization of a final Study Seminar for the launch of the results of the project to be held in Brussels with the participation of EU institutions representatives and of professionals from other EU Member States.
  • Partners will also connect with ongoing projects and will make reference to existing tools and training materials (e.g. the ’RighT guide’, Terre des Hommes International - ’Exploring methods to protect children on the move’. A handbook for organisations wanting to prevent child trafficking, exploitation and the worst forms of child labour (hereafter,TdH Handbook, training model of ERF Italian Project Contextus, available at: http://www.contextus.org).
