Defence for Children Italia’s activities can be summarised as follows:

Analysis and research - to better understand the elements that determine human rights violations;
- Information, raising awareness and training - to increase awareness, knowledge and competencies to help make adequate safeguarding possible;
- Reporting violations - in order to immediately halt abuses and take responsibility;
- Promotion of proposals - for policies, laws, strategies to be oriented toward the safeguarding of children’s rights;
- Support and development of programmes - for the identification of good safeguarding and protection practices which can also be replicated.
