An Overview on the Right to Education of Children in Detention.
This report examines the right to education of children in detention in thirteen countries where Defence for Children International has a presence. The report stems from DCI’s participation in a special paper produced by the UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Education on the theme of education for persons in detention. The evidence presented in this report highlights that many governments are failing to guarantee the right to education of children held in detention around the world.
