Objectives
The CFJ-EN aims to:
- empower children to advocate for their rights in judicial proceedings and collect, through participation, their voices and amplify them through establishing a Child Advisory Board and the organisation of the Child Justice Caravan;
- improve the knowledge and the capacity of European legal and non-legal practitioners and the CFJEN’s members on the EU acquis related to children’s rights, children’s access to justice, and especially, CFJ procedures and procedural rights of suspected and accused children and child victims’ rights through an annual seminar. To this effect, a European webinar will be hosted and the specific capacity-building tools and exchanges on CFJ will be created to have an impact on the concrete and effective adaptation of national justice systems to the CFJ principles;
- strengthen its impact by partnering with relevant actors and reaching out to possible new members through exchanges, meetings and partnership agreements.
