Summary
The project “Road to Adulthood – Mentorship Helping Migrant and Refugee Unaccompanied Minors Navigate Adulthood” is a European project aimed at supporting unaccompanied children and young people (former UAMs) in their transition towards adulthood and community integration. It also aims to disseminate training models for mentoring unaccompanied minors and young adults at the European level through exchanging existing and improved methodologies to support the transition of UAMs to adulthood.
The project is based on a mentoring methodology for preparing migrant and refugee unaccompanied children to integrate into the local community by developing mentorship relationships that support their transition to adulthood.
RoAD is implemented by four organizations, three of which are located in frontline countries: ARSIS in Greece, Defence for Children International in Italy, Punt de Referencia in Spain, and the European Network for Evidence-Based Mentoring in the Netherlands. The project started in February 2022 and will be completed in January 2024.
